Welcome to a New Member of our Care Team!
We were very pleased to welcome Cheryl Terry to the Care Team at the Manor back in November and we were interested to hear her thoughts on The Manor when compared with the Care Home she worked at previously.
She told us that she found The Manor “a much more relaxed working environment” when compared to her previous workplace which was interesting – and that “the needs of the individual residents were understood and respected.” She added “I feel that at The Manor House I am a carer, not a robot.”
It was very pleasing to hear her observations.
Cheryl is already a valued member of our team and is a very keen participant in the Magic Music Monday event which – surprisingly – takes place every Monday. This is where residents and staff sing along together whilst (for some at least) wearing wigs to help enter the spirit of the song. I am told that the favourites so far are “Yellow Submarine” and “Jailhouse Rock.” Cheryl can be seen somewhere under the wig!
